My love of beachcombing began as a young girl in the 50's and 60's, when I spent many summers in both Winnipeg Beach and Gimli. I have worked in Graphic Arts and Photography, but my love of Lake Winnipeg, beachglass and the other "treasures" I have collected, has inspired me to turn these into the luminaries, vases and jewellery.
It never ceases to amaze me, how the water can turn what we discard, into pieces of beauty and mystery. Vintage glass beads from my travels, and semi-precious stones, have found their way into my designs as well.
I have studyied glass lampwork bead making at the renowned Andrighetti Glassworks in Vancouver. This has become a true passion for me. My lampwork bead designs are inspired by Manitoba's incredible visual natural elements.
