All my work is both functional and decorative and I hope that it brings the viewer as much joy as it has brought me in making it.
Judith Hale
A life long love of art and the artistic process, I knew I had found my medium when I began to work with clay. With a deep love of nature and mucking in the “mud” in the garden, clay provides me with a tactile organic means to express myself. Working with stoneware, porcelain and high fired glazes, I love to produce unique eclectic pieces that “grow” as they are thrown and altered through pinching, piercing and carving. Ceramics is a deceptively simple process that is very challenging to master. I have had the privilege of studying with some very talented Manitoba potters over the years who have provided me with the techniques and the inspiration to find my own voice through this medium.
