Jon has been practicing the craft of glassblowing and building his own equipment for nearly twenty-five years.

His backyard studio, in a historic Fargo North Dakota neighbourhood, is a favourite destination for school children who learn about the physics of glass and the only art medium that fights back. Art enthusiasts also stop by to watch Jon blow his heirloom quality vessels and lamps.

Jon earned a BA in studio art from MSUM, Moorhead and an MFA in glass from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

My work is informed by plumb bobs, fishing bobbers, anchors, bubbles in beer, kites and icicles.
