Janice Kenworthy is a Winnipeg-born artist who has had a passion for painting since childhood when she was introduced to oils. During her university schooling and subsequent work as a computer analyst she used watercolors to produce detailed floral works in her spare time. Her subject material is rendered in bold, energizing colors. |
| Mainly self-taught, Janice has taken some gallery courses including several while residing in Toronto in the early 1990s. At the Art Gallery of Ontario she studied watercolors and botanical drawing. Returning to Winnipeg after spending a year in France, she sought a more liberating style and in the late 1990's she turned to acrylics. | |
