| The late Kenneth Gordon (1929-1998) was a well known landscape and portrait artist who received numerous awards for his works. A Winnipeg native and long time Winnipeg Beach resident, he followed in the footsteps of the "Group of Seven" though his style was uniquely his own. He and his wife Sophie made many hiking and canoe trips throughout Canada's magnificent wilderness.
Kenneth followed the traditional manner of painting in the field on birch plywood panels, some of which he translated to large canvases, when he returned to the Interlake. His works are included in the collections of Boeing Canada, Richardsons, Investors Group, The Winnipeg Art Gallery, Sony of Canada, Mark Messier and The Park Plaza Hotel-Toronto, as well as private collections in 10 foreign countries. |
