I was first drawn to paper as a young child. For two years, we lived in the country where the library came to us in the form of a traveling trailer. I remember searching through the many books and coming across old heavy ones with paper pages that felt like flannelette sheets. I spent what seemed hours running my fingers up and down those pages.
I still love the feel of good paper! I love to rip it, mold it, paint it, make it! and watch it take the shape of the many beautiful images I see around me. Nature with her infinite display of textures, shapes and colours. has always filled me with a sense of the divine and been the main inspiration of my art.
If I can inspire one other person to look at her beauty in a new way, then I feel I have succeeded as an artist.
